Jane Ewins
Jane Ewins has over twelve years experience in the life sciences in roles including project management, training, business development and scientific research in organizations in both Scotland and Australia. She specializes in areas where research interfaces with commercial development and has worked on projects as diverse as instrumentation for testing the toxicity of neuro-active chemicals, transgenic crop protection technologies, and DNA-based diagnostic tests.
Jane is able to translate research, expertise, and early-stage technologies into products, services, and revenue. She has held university-based roles to form spinouts and help start-up companies take their products from initial concept to manufacture and to market. Jane's expertise also includes writing clear and accurate technical documents, giving formal and informal presentations, and delivering technical and specialist training.
Jane's qualifications include an MBA from La Trobe University (Australia), an M.Phil. in Electrical Engineering from Heriot Watt University and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Genetics from the Australian National University. She is based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
