Innova Partnerships is please to announce that Catherine Feechan has joined the Board of Innova Partnerships as a Non-Executive Director. Catherine, Partner at Biggart Baillie LLP law firm in Glasgow, has experience in venture capital investments, flotations, acquisitions and other areas of general company work. Catherine's addition follows that of Dr Andy McNair who joined the Board in July 2007. Andy, previously Managing Director for Connect Scotland Ltd, brings with him many years of experience in assessing and help start up Life Science companies.

Innova Partnerships is pleased to announce that it has taken a 50% equity stake in Healthaware Ltd. Healthaware was founded in October 2004 with the aim of promoting the prevention of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. The investment and link to the Innova Partnerships Partnering network will be used to promote and expand the Healthaware health screening and coaching business. Initial expansion will be undertaken in the Glasgow and Cambridge regions.
Commenting, Healthaware's co-founder Dr Geoff Hall said, "We are delighted that Innova Partnerships will help us move our business forwards. The involvement of [Innova] Partnerships will enable us to expand our business to other regions. Expansion into the Glasgow region, in particular, is an important step for us as this is an area that has a high incidence of heart disease."
This is the second investment that Innova Partnerships has undertaken in 2007.

follows an initial agreement between the two companies whereby Innova Partnerships agreed to help grow and
expand the Innova Bioscience business. During this period Innova Biosciences has launched a number of
new products.
