Paul Burnett Maj. L QARANC MCMI
Paul comes from a critical care background with some 26 years experience as a clinical manager within the Army Medical Services. He completed his service as a Major having managed Regional Burns Units, Intensive Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Units as well as providing operational medical support in multiple military conflicts and humanitarian aid missions. He also held several ambassadorial posts, as well as undertaking strategic work in the UK with training and recruiting departments. Upon leaving the service in May 2005, Paul joined the faculty of Healthcare Skills Training as a part time lecturer, assisting in the preparation of product specialists for work in the Medical Device Industry. He later became the Project Manager for Medical Devices is Scotland, promoting Scotland's broad and diverse Medtech capability worldwide. He was specifically responsible for the development of medical technology transfer systems from a variety of industries, using his broad clinical experience to assist companies in meeting clinical need with their technologies. He has recently returned from spending 16 months in Afghanistan providing medical support and training to multinational police, military and diplomatic services. He has continued his association with HST and has been instrumental in the successful promotion and delivery of BTEC accredited courses throughout the Middle East.
